Procedure for applying for and undergoing an examination

Do not forget the examination ticket issuance procedure

To receive a subsidy, it is necessary to make an appointment with the examination facility by phone, then carry out the examination ticket issuance procedure.
If using a computer or smartphone, please apply via the "KENPOS" health support website.
If you do not have access to the internet, please apply via fax or mail.

Select the examination facility where you would like to receive an examination from KENPOS or the examination facility list.

Make an appointment with the examination facility by phone.
Make an appointment with the examination facility directly by phone, making sure to specify a date at least two weeks away.
When making the appointment, be sure to tell them the following:

  • ◆The name of the Society (CompanyMitsui O.S.K. Health Insurance Society)
  • ◆The name of the agency (EWEL)
  • ◆The date you would like to book, the course, and any options
  • ◆Your name, address, and contact information

Request the issuance of an examination ticket (within three days of making an appointment by phone).

  • ◆ Computer or smartphone

    Please carry out the issuance procedure from KENPOS.
    Registration is necessary when logging in for the first time. Make sure you have your health insurance card handy.

  • ◆FAX or mail

    Enter the necessary information on the examination ticket issuance request form, then fax or mail the form.

Receiving your examination ticket

  • ◆Computer or smartphone

    An "examination ticket issuance completion email" will be sent to your registered email address
    (within one week of completing the procedure).
    If you are using a computer, log in to KENPOS, print out the "examination ticket," then bring it with you on the day of your examination.
    If you cannot print out the examination ticket, give the person at the examination facility reception desk the appointment number indicated on your examination ticket.
    If you are using a smartphone, the examination ticket issuance completion email can be used instead of an examination ticket.
    Give the person at the examination facility reception desk the appointment number indicated in the email.

  • ◆FAX or mail

    The "examination ticket" will be sent to you via fax or mail (within two weeks of completing the procedure).
    Bring the "examination ticket" with you on the day of your examination.

Changing or canceling

Contact your examination facility regarding any changes or a cancellation, log in to KENPOS,
then perform the necessary procedure from "Confirm, change, or cancel application details."

Receiving an examination
On the day of your examination, make sure to bring the following:

  • ◆Your examination ticket or the appointment number indicated on it
  • Money to cover any copayments (if necessary)
  • ◆Health insurance cards (health insurance eligibility information)*
  • ◆Your specimen container, etc. (if one was sent by the examination facility)

* Health insurance cards issued by December 1, 2024, can be used until December 1, 2025, at the latest. If you do not have an issued health insurance card, the necessary identity verification documents differ depending on the examination facility. Please directly inquire with your facility. We apologize for any inconvenience.
